Previous performances

Sophia Bae

Sophia Bae presented a beautiful recital and she thrilled the audience both with her mastery of the keyboard and her intelligent interpretations. We look forward to seeing Sophia's career unfold.

Stephanie McCallum and Erin Helyard

Stephanie McCallum and Erin Helyard charmed and delighted the audience with French duets for four hands, one piano. We were transported to Paris for a magical hour. These two virtuosi joyfully interacted and clearly had each other's measure.

Michael de Huy

Michael is a very exciting pianist, composer and conductor. His programme for Music@11 featured Beethoven, Scriabin and Chopin. Michael's encore was a charmimg composition of his own creation. The first four notes of the 4th Chopin Ballade were quite otherwordly. The audience were delighted with the concert and there were many very positive comments about Michael's performance.

Alisa Yuko

Alisa's big programme offered two Preludes by Debussy and Scriabin, a Bach Partita (6) and a Chopin Sonata. This was a beautifully executed performance, complex, tender and passionate

The Nano Symphony Trio

The Nano Symphony Trio presented a delightful programme of works by Mozart, Schumann and Glinka. All three works are playful and imaginative, characteristics which the trio thoroughly explored.

Tony Lee

Tony Lee, an outstanding pianist from Sydney, gave a wonderful interpretation of Schubert: Sonata in A, Zhang Zhao: Hani Love Poeme and Stravinsky/Agosti: Firebird Suite

Luminescence

Luminescence was an absolute treat and certainly an outstanding vocal ensemble. This concert was delivered with a  blend of rich tonal colours, and wonderfully synchronized and articulated parts.

Kees Borsma and Kirsty McCahon

Kees Borsma and Kirsty McCahon – two double basses. A delightful and engaging experience given by two accomplished and very entertaining musicians.

Claire Edwardes and Jason Noble

Claire Edwardes, marimba and Jason Noble, clarinet. This was an intriguing concert with such an unusual combination of instruments; the unique mellow timbre of Claire’s marimba was wrapped in the velvet tones from Jason’s bass clarinet, expressed through a charming program which included composers such as Ross Edwards and Gerard Brophy.

Alex Zhang

Alex Zhang is a new artist for Music@10, he gave a masterful performance of Johann S. Bach’s Toccata in c minor bwv 911, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata in A flat major, op. 110; Ceasar Franck’s Prelude, chorale and fugue and Claude Debussy’s Feux d’Artifice
